International Beer Day Is Going To Be Brewtiful at Tailgate Social

Go Rounds the World at Tailgate Social for International Beer Day

People don’t need a reason to drink beer. They’ve been doing it for centuries. And as those centuries have gone by, nations have been born, divided, united, changed, altered, and the only ones truly benefitting were the map makers. But when people weren’t fighting wars, they were developing something amazing that had nothing to do with the name of their country or what person they now paid their taxes to: beer. So while people don’t need a reason to drink beer, the world certainly can unite over it and its awesomeness. As a wise world leader once (probably) said to another (maybe John Lennon), “Today we are friends because we both love beer and we both love drinking it together…. Let us thank beer for bringing us closer.” Tailgate Social is all about the brotherhood of man and the unity of beer, so come on down and try a pint, glass, stein, or mug of some crafts from other countries for International Beer Day!

International House of Hops

There are a lot of great facts about beer, probably because there are a lot of great things about beer period. It may seem people are over the top about their hops, but when you look at it historically, you can see that this malted love affair has been going on longer than Marlana and John on Days of Our Lives. Here are a few geographical grains of information to soak up with your suds:

The Czech Republic is the beer drinking capital of the world with the average citizen drinking 40 gallons a year.

The oldest brewery dates back to the year 1040 in Freising, Germany. Beer itself is thought to date back to 5,000 BC.

Snake Venom Beer is the strongest in the world with an ABV of 67.5%…those crazy Scots….

Belgium fights child obesity in some schools by offering low-alcohol beers instead of sodas and lemonade

Beer is derived from the Slavic verb “to drink.”
